Again

I'm behind. Again.

Mom, Meg, and McKenzie were here two weekends ago and we had quite the sun and fun filled time! Lots of pool time Friday, then 6 hours at the beach Saturday left me quite burned by Sunday. I loved the time with the girls and Matt enjoyed his time on the golf trip!

Last weekend was Miley's 4th birthday party- Frozen themed at the pool! It was so cute. I love it when all the cousins get together and play and the adults can sit around and chat.

This weekend was pretty chill for us- no plans! Friday night was movie night, then yesterday we ran a few errands then headed up to hang out on the boat with Molly, Craig, Emily, and Matt's parents. So hot outside, even on a moving boat! Steven and Caylee stayed with us last night since Caylee's fam is vacationing on the island, so got to visit with them over breakfast this morning before heading off our own way. Matt and I had nursery at church this morning and they went back to the beach for a bit. They graciously took us to dinner before heading back to Augusta and we finished up the evening watching the US soccer game- intense!

Whoa...

...I'm behind.

We've had two pretty jam packed weekends and there's another on the horizon!
So let's go ahead and catch up..

Two weekends ago was Memorial Day weekend. Matt and I kicked off the weekend by welcoming my mom, sister, and niece into town. Saturday morning Meagan, McKenzie, and I met up with all my sweet sis-in-laws and their kiddos for pool time! Love chatting it up with those ladies and watching the kids play with each other.

Afterwards, we met up with mom back at the apartment complex and took off for more pool time.

We stayed for a few more hours before McKenzie and I took off for Matt's parents house to hang out with the family, grill out, and play fun games.

Sunday morning Meg and I went for a run (Matt avoided all the estrogen of the weekend by staying at his parents) then took Macie for a walk to get coffee and breakfast. My friends Lea and Lindsey had come into town the night before, so the 6 of us took off for the beach. We stayed there allllll day because it felt so good outside! Perfect beach weather. We headed home around 4 to get ready for dinner. We ate at the Dispensary and listened to live (not good) music, then got frozen yogurt for dessert before calling it a night.

Monday morning called for more pool time before a thunderstorm rolled in. Lindsey and Lea (LOVE them!) headed back to Atlanta while mom and sis waited out the storm. Pretty much sums up our weekend! Lots of girl time and sun!

This past weekend was more chill for us. We played golf Saturday, had a dinner date at a sweet pizza place downtown, then met up with Scott and Megan for drinks at R&D's- a sweet wine bar we love!

Sunday morning was church, lunch with Scott, Megan, Chance, and Gracie Bea, errands, and cleaning. We met up with Dr. Berrigan, Al, Jen, and Josh for an amazing dinner on the beach. Dr. B invited Jen and I (and the husbands) to this dinner she won in an auction to help us celebrate nurses week. It was so fun!

Monday came a little too fast, but this week is flying by!

National running day was Wednesday and I squeezed in a pretty good 4-mile run to celebrate :)

My mom, sister, and McKenzie are on their way to Bluffton for a girls weekend since the boys are off on a golf trip. I'm hoping the weather is good to us this weekend!

2 weeks off..

...from running, and apparently blogging too ;)

Our weekends have been flying by like crazy and they're jam packed with all kinds of outdoor fun. A lot of golf and sunshine! We've now played golf 3 weekends in a row since Matt decided to go on my dad and his friends annual golf trip. I'm not complaining.

Friday night we went to a pizza palooza in downtown Bluffton benefiting the humane society, so there were a ton of dogs around! The live music was really good too, and Macie behaved so well. Saturday morning Matt and Craig decided to play golf, which left me a few hours to relax by the pool...until the pool got too crazy so I left to get a pedicure...andddd I surprised myself with a manicure too!

We had dinner plans with Daniel, Cassady, Bobby, Sara, Shane, and Alissa Saturday night, and we had so much fun catching up, as usual. Daniel and Cassady brought their sweet baby girl and she slept through everything. And Bobby and Sara announced baby #2!

Sunday morning Matt wanted to skip church, so we bummed it around the house for awhile before I headed out to beat the tourists to the grocery store- failed at it. Later in the afternoon we decided to explore a trail we had seen a few miles down the road. It was so peaceful until we discovered that this place was tick infested, like really bad. We walked about 3 miles and pulled off at least 20 ticks off us  during and after the walk. Poor Macie had a minimum of 50 pulled off her, and half her fur in the process. We won't be doing that again!!

Matt talked me into looking at beach cruisers so after showers and laundry we headed out to find the perfect pair! We found his and hers bikes at target and were sold at the "vintage" look- aka we look like old farts cruising around. We rode them to dinner and around the parking lots so I could try and remember how to ride the darn things...and I've always been awful! We tried to take them to get ice cream tonight, but I've already got a flat tire! Big bummer.

This morning, after two weeks off, I finished a two mile run. My calf still doesn't feel great when I run, but I haven't had any extra pain today so I'm going to go with it. I'm going to try for two again in the morning and see how it goes...wish me luck! I'm icing as I'm typing ;)

Hola..

Happy cinco de mayo!
I should've made something Mexican themed for dinner tonight, but buffalo chicken pizza was the easiest on our menu for the week, so pizza it was. Oh well.

Thankful to be relaxing this Monday evening since work was off the chain...but it made the day fly by which I'm good with. I'm trying for bootcamp all 4 days this week, so it'll be an early NyQuil-induced slumber tonight ;)

On to the weekend recap, since that's where all our excitement happens!
Saturday morning I met up with Leeann and Jen for their first 10k in Savannah. Also ran into my sis-in-law, Steph, who rocked the race with her best time ever! And our friends Shane and Alissa, along with Shane's parents; always lovely to see familiar faces! After being sick all week and not running much I bonked during the run and ended up walking a good bit. I'm now attempting a 2 week running break due to multiple injuries and being sick,so lets hope I don't go crazy during this time. I just pulled out of my next half that was supposed to happen June 6th, so I'm bummed, but I also know I need to stop for a bit.

Moving on...
After the run Matt decided he wanted play golf, so I rode with him. Nice to get outside and enjoy the weather and the husband. The alligators were out enjoying the sunshine too!

Our night was capped off with a wonderful, indulgent dinner at Truffles. Yum. And this cheesy picture was totally Matt's idea.

Sunday morning was chores, church, lunch, then 2 glorious hours at the beach. So relaxing..and what a beautiful day!! I'm quite burned today, but it was so worth it.
What a wonderful weekend :)

It's almost Friday!!

It's almost Friday and here I am just now talking about this past weekend! This week has flown by!

We somehow made last weekend a busy one, even though it started out "relaxing". We got up Saturday and I headed out for a run while Matt set off to look at some job sites. I beat him back then did our grocery shopping for the upcoming week. I made it home by 12 then we left for Craig and Molly's so we could hang out on their new boat. I even got a tan line, whoop!! We had dinner plans with a client of Matt's so we hit the road home by 5. Dinner was good :)

Sunday morning we picked up Chance and Gracie Bea from their grandparents and took them to church, then by Firehouse for lunch so Chance could get a fire hat. We had a fun filled afternoon full of golf cart rides, long walks, and playing in the yard. Megan and Scott made it home around 8:30 and we still were in bed by 9:30!

This week I've been quite sick and am pretty over it. I'm doing a race with Dr Sturgis and Jen from work on Saturday and I'm going to struggle a lot! I skipped my run Tuesday after being up all night coughing, made it to bootcamp yesterday, but didn't make it today and I'm bummed about it. Hoping I can get some sort of a run in tomorrow!

Birthday and Easter weekend

Matt and I will be going to bed super early again tonight because we are exhausted! Can't figure out why this week is kicking our butts so badly...maybe the weekend travels?
Anywayyyy...

Last week at work didn't end up so bad, but I sure did enjoy getting to leave Friday at lunchtime. The office bought everyone lunch and cheesecake for dessert to help me celebrate the big 29. I met Megan afterwards and had my first pedicure of the year! It felt so good...my feet are happy :)

Matt and I left around 4:30 to head for Augusta and drove the whole way in the rain..what a dreary day! We had dinner with mom and dad then stayed the night at Meg and Adams's. Matt got up early to golf with dad and I headed out for a haircut. I met up with mom and McKenzie at gymnastics then had a yummy sushi lunch before hitting up the mall for some fun shopping.

I don't know why my pictures are sideways.

We had dinner again at mom and dads and all the siblings came over, which resulted in stupid games, Steven and Christopher wrestling, and me crying from laughing too hard. Good night :)

Easter Sunday I convinced Meg and Adam to join us for church and was so thankful there wasn't much arguing! We had lunch together afterwards then Matt and I hit the road to visit with maw for a bit.

We finally made it home around 7:30, picked up some dinner, then I rushed around cleaning/washing clothes so Monday would go off without a hitch! I did bootcamp Monday and Tuesday, then a 5 mile run this morning. More bootcamp pain in the morning! I think we win the lame prize for tonight because we will be in bed by 8 (and Matt is already asleep on the floor).
Happy hump day :)

No pictures = boring

I'm going to be boring this week, sorry ;)

Monday- 5:30am bootcamp
Tuesday- 5 mile run
Wednesday/Thursday- bootcamp
Friday- 4.25 mile run
Saturday- painful 3 mile run
Today- rest

I woke up yesterday with a terribly tight groin so my 7 miles turned into a painful 3...but I was proud I made it the 3!! Hoping to be more settled this week and actually run after two of the bootcamp classes.

Had a great week at work and almost left on time every single day! We had a baby shower Wednesday for Ellie, a coworker, and had a lot of fun. Friday night we had a date night to Giuseppe's. Last night we drove to Statesboro to celebrate Alissa's birthday and see their new house- super cute by the way! Today was church, errands, and the Master's/dinner at Megan and Scott's. Fun weekend!

Hoping to have a positive attitude this week at work since it's SC's spring break week and we have a million health checks scheduled. I get out early on Friday for my birthday so I'm super excited for Friday!

Happy Sunday...and sorry no pictures!
