It's Fridayyyyy

I made it!! 12 days of work, done! I kind of feel like superwoman.

Now, a rousing Friday night of walking the dogs and going to sleep super early. I'm so excited about not setting an alarm for the morning...except I'm sure Macie and Cooper will wake me up bright and early!

Happy weekend!

Happy Tuesday!

Only 4 more days until the weekend!
Yesterday was a decent day at the peds office; pretty busy, but the day flew by! Matt got off work right around the same time as me so he came on over and helped me cook dinner. We had chicken parm dippers with pasta and marinara, and of course bread.

While I was finishing up dinner Matt hung up my most recent purchase- a medal and race bib holder I ordered from Etsy! I ordered one for Stephanie, Matt's sis-in-law, since I drew her name in the Christmas draw; I loved it so much I ordered one for myself as well!

After dinner we took Macie for a little ball throwing session, and then ended up walking an extra mile around the apartment complex. We made it back right in time- it started raining within 5 minutes of us being back. We had a Klondike bar for dessert and watched an episode of Castle before crashing for the night.

Now it's off to finish getting ready for work. Hopeful for a good, quick day!

Love these goobers!

The finished product :)

The weekend

The weekend is over!!

And this is how I feel!
Well, not really. I actually feel pretty good for working 7 days in a row! My days at work weren't so bad at all. I had great babies and worked with some nice ladies. To be more exact, a nice lady and a scatterbrained one who kept disappearing all day.

Last night I went to Matt's and watched the first half of the USC and LSU game with him, Scott, and Megan. Macie and I left right at halftime to get back, shower, make lunch, and hit the hay! I really tried to stay awake for the whole game, but apparently passed out in the 3rd quarter. They lost. I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda happy. They kicked our butts last week, so it's nice to have the same record again.

Matt came by work after church and brought some Atlanta Bread Co for lunch and some Cold Stone ice cream for dessert! It was delicious!! And totally helped me make it through the rest of the work day. I also got to walk him around my pod in the unit and let him see some of the tiny babies I take care of every day.

Now we're watching an episode of Castle- well, kinda. Matt is cleaning guns (he bought a new one today at the shooting range...one that has a laser that drives Macie crazy), I'm surfing the Internet, and Macie is eating leaves on the porch. Happy Sunday!!

Twelve

Finally did a decent long run! 12 miles, and with a 9:24 pace!

Not too shabby :)

Twelve is also the number of days I'll have worked before getting a day off :/
I started my work marathon Monday and I'll be done next Friday...which means no weekend for me!! But it's ok, I make more money so it works out.

Last night Matt and I had a yummy dinner of buffalo chicken sandwiches, pasta salad, and broccoli. First homemade dinner I've been able to make in awhile. We watched 2 episodes of castle, watched a little of the VP debate, had an Oreo Klondike bar for dessert, and called it a night! I got up this morning and headed off for that monstrous run before taking our now 9 month old pup back to the vet. She has recurrent belly rashes that have been determined to be related to food allergies. $95 later we had two more weeks worth of antibiotics, some hypoallergenic treats, and instructions to keep giving her the lamb based pup food for 8 more weeks. This dog is a wimp! But we love her.

She loves her dad way more than me.

After her vet appointment I headed into work for a half day, which thankfully flew by. After work I picked up my new iPod (which I can't use due to the fact I don't have a laptop, just an iPad and apparently they don't speak the same language). Then I did a little grocery and Christmas shopping! Matt and Macie are at his parents for the evening so he could get in a few hunts this afternoon and tomorrow morning. It's entirely too quiet in my apartment without Macie!

I'm heading to bed super early; it's a 4:45am wake up call tomorrow!

Happy birthday!

Happy birthday to my favorite (and only) sister in the whole wide world!

Meagan is notorious for being obnoxious about her birthday, starting October 1st, but last night I was talking to her and she said she had almost forgotten about it this year. Guess that's what growing' up will do to you! I set my alarm to call her at 12:01 am and that little booger didn't answer! Which is fine because apparently I had fallen back asleep while it was ringing and when her voicemail popped on it about scared me to death.

Happy 25th, sister!! And I apologize for the last picture- bachelorette fun!

Game day fun

I'm gonna have to get better about finding time to update this thing! It's been crazy around here and the weekend went by way too fast.

Here's a recap from the fun-filled, way-too-fast weekend!

Thursday evening Matt and I had a delicious dinner from Mellow Mushroom...best buffalo chicken pizza ever. Then we went to Walmart and shopped for tailgate food before crashing with Macie for the night.

Friday morning I got up bright and early for work while Matt took Macie to the vet for her follow up appointment- which was a good report. Her rash is all clear and we're hoping her change of food will fix future problems; if she stays rash-free through the fall/winter and it comes back in the spring then we know it's environmental allergies vs food. Matt went on to Columbia with the boys and I came home Friday night and made buffalo chicken dip, taquitos, brownies, and cookies (I didn't bake the cookies, but I did repackage them in my Tupperware to look like I did!)

Saturday morning I got up and had a decent 6-mile run before dropping off Macie and heading to Molly's to pick up Margaret and Stefanie. We made great time and got to Columbia around lunch time and picked a really great spot to tailgate! The guys joined us shortly after. We tailgated until around 6 and headed to the stadium. Sadly, UGA played terribly, but it was still kinda fun to see Matt and Chris so excited about the gamecocks. Maybe we'll beat 'em next year!

Today we got back around lunchtime and pretty much relaxed for the afternoon. I even took a pretty decent nap, which felt sooooo good. And I had another good 6-mile run this evening. I'm not really good at afternoon/evening runs anymore; I'd much rather run in the morning time, which is opposite of what I used to like! Here are some pictures to enjoy!
