Sick call

I bragged last weekend to Matt that I hadn't gotten sick in the past two years. I figured my immunity must be through the roof since I'm around sick kids all the time. Thursday at the hospital I started feeling kinda rough, but I really thought it was from all the Valentines treats I consumed and the fact I was exhausted from 3 days at the hospital. Friday morning I opted out of the overtime the hospital offered and worked my 3 hours at the office- best decision ever. I think I would be much worse off if I worked that extra 12 hour shift. I made Matt and I our Valentines dinner and it was delicious!

Saturday morning I did a nice 10 mile run (probably didn't help the sickness) and took Macie on a walk before Matt and I headed into Savannah to find suits for the wedding and to register. First stops were Atlanta Bread Co for lunch and Coldstone for dessert...21 days of no sweets started today (Monday) and I just had to have my ice cream!

We found suits within 5 minutes of being in the store, but we left so we could talk prices and sizes over with our dads. We headed over to Macy's next, but got behind two other couples registering so we left and went to BB&B instead. 3 hours later and we were finally done! Macy's would wait until Sunday. We got home and took Macie for another walk since she was going nuts, rented a movie, and ordered Japanese food for dinner. Quite the food filled Saturday.

Sunday was church, lunch, registering at Macy's, and suit purchasing. I ran a few errands and cleaned up around the house before heading to bed at 9:30. I woke up at midnight and decided it would be best to call out sick from work...no need to expose those babies to my sickness! Today I'll be resting....and trying to squeeze in a run, when and if it finally hits 50 degrees outside ;)

Friday I'm heading home to go dress shopping Saturday with mom, dad, and sister. On Sunday, I'm running in the Augusta half and Meg is doing the 10k. It promises to be another crazy weekend!
