Favorite purchases...

...from this weekend, not all time favorite purchases ;)

Our weekend began at about 5:45 Friday evening...and it was so warmly welcomed!! Matt and I were more than ready for a weekend at home. We celebrated with pizza and basketball...though not so much basketball for me, I read a book instead.

Saturday morning we were up all too early thanks to Macie not understanding our weekend rules. 7:15 was not appreciated. Coffee was made, breakfast was had, then Matt and I parted ways for a bit. He headed out to check on a few job sites and I went for a run. I was supposed to do 6 miles, but came home to change into short sleeves after 3 and just called it a day. I've raced the past 3 weekends, so my body appreciated the rest. Matt got home and cleaning began! We both cleared out our closets of everything that doesn't fit or that we haven't worn in the past year. We took a hefty load to Bluffton Self Help (they don't charge for their clothes like Good Will) and I have a small pile left that I'm going to try and make a few bucks on. After all the clearing out we went shopping! Matt desperately needed new pants, boots (which he got Wednesday) and tennis shoes. He ended up getting 3 pairs of pants, 4 shirts, a belt, and new shoes- success! We had a lot of fun trying on shoes for his big feet.

Yesterday evening we met up with Dr. S and Jen to see Noah and was so terribly disappointed. The movie was AWFUL and I recommend it to no one. Matt and I also realized this was the first time we've ever seen a movie in a theatre together, too bad it was a fail! We got some chick-fil-a on the way home and ended the night with more basketball.

This morning was again early thanks to Macie, but at least we had our Sunday breakfast to cheer us up! Pancakes for the win. We rode out and looked at some houses for sale before coming home to get ready for church. After church Matt and Scott headed up to Columbia for the outdoor fair thing. I've gone shopping, gotten groceries, did the laundry, and cleaned the apartment. Not a shabby day.

Here are my favorite purchases from this weekend, in no particular order...

Sunglasses case from Francesca's!

Swimsuit coverup, also from Francesca's.

Baby shower gift...love the mute button one!

And I started our Easter baskets! Yes, I buy my own Easter basket stuff because Matt never remembers. The jellybeans have already been opened though...

Happy week!

Beaufort twilight fun

Another weekend comes and goes!

Monday through Friday were uneventful. We puppy sat for my friend Jen Wednesday night and Macie loved it!

I left work at 5:15 Friday so I could drive to Beaufort to pick up mine and Dr. S's race packets. I ran into my friend Amy there and we let our dogs run around for a bit while we visited. Macie and I headed back and pretty much met Matt back home at the same time (he was quail hunting in Guyton). My folks, sis, and niece made it into town around 7:30 and we all hung out for awhile before heading to bed.

Saturday morning we were up and at it early. The boys left for golf and the girls headed out for some shopping...typical. Meg found some amazing deals and really racked up on the sales. I found a potential Easter dress I'm still trying to make up my mind about...

We all piled up at 3:45 for Beaufort and were on our way! Meg, Amy, Dr. Sturgis and I all ran the 5k that started at 5. I finished in 26:50 and felt really good! Hot and humid, but good. I really didn't feel like running the second race but I'm really glad I did! I finished the 8k in 44:06 and felt really good throughout the whole run, especially since it cooled off a LOT, thankfully. We hightailed it outta there right after it was over since my dad was starving. A Giuseppi's fix later and all was well.

Normal Sunday stuff today. Dad bought more donuts, church, lunch (at the Dispensary which was delicious!!), and my fam headed back home. I did some speed cleaning before heading over to the movies to see Divergent with Megan, Molly, and Missy- this movie was so good!! I did my grocery shopping and Matt was vacuuming when I got home. Sunday chores are done and we're ready for the week!

Weekend in Brunswick

Good evening and happy Tuesday! I actually wrote this post Sunday but my iPad went psycho on me and quit working, so if some of this doesn't make sense that's why!

We had a great weekend over here and am already looking forward to the upcoming weekend since my folks, sis, and niece are coming!

I got to leave work right at 5 Friday since we were heading out of town, which was really nice. Matt and I went ahead and made dinner at home so we could avoid fast food and since he still needed to pack anyway. We dropped Macie off with Scott and Megan and then headed on...made it to Brunswick right around 8 I think. We got to visit with Chris and Margaret and the kids before heading to bed at a decent hour since we all had early Saturday morning plans.

We were up at 5:30, stopped to get coffee, then headed on to Jacksonville. The race was really, really organized which I loved! Definitely planning on making this race an annual event. My wave started at 8:45 and I finished in 1:28:07...I only wanted to make it before 1:30 since this was my first 15k, next year my goal is 1:20ish. And it was hot, but having water at every single mile marker made this one of my favorite races EVER.

We stopped by Cracker Barrel for brunch then headed on back to Brunswick. Once the kids and Margaret got home it was outdoor fun for all! Fishing, walking, bike riding, kid watching, sitting in the sun FUN! It was beautiful out and I enjoyed chatting with Margaret, watching Matt fish and the kids play. We had a delicious dinner and a really yummy dessert Margaret made that I'm going to recreate Thursday or Friday night (if I make them earlier I will eat them all). We turned in early since we had such an early start to the day. Wish I would've gotten more pictures from the weekend, but my sweat caused massive condensation in my camera, so my phone spent the day buried in rice!

Matt and I made it back to Bluffton before noon, picked up Macie, unpacked, then hit up Giuseppi's for lunch. I did the grocery shopping and Matt checked on a few job sites, then I got home and cleaned the apartment top to bottom. I made a Pinterest dinner fail and we hit the hay to start the new week! It already feels like it's flying by :)

Warm weather makes us happy

Happy Tuesday :)
I'd rather it be Friday and be in Brunswick where we will be spending our weekend!

Last week flew by and warmer weather was seriously welcomed for the weekend. Saturday morning we got up and made pancakes, then rode out to Palmetto Bluff for Matt to check on a few job sites. I love going out there every few months to see their finished houses...plus PB is stinking beautiful year round! Matt got a last minute golf invite so he took off shortly after getting home. I did our meal planning, grocery shopping; completed a warm 2-mile run, then a long walk with Macie. Matt and I had a hot date at Longhorns later and fell asleep early.

Sunday morning (and daylight savings) we were up at 7 for the PB half marathon. Glad it's over. The later start and warmer temps messed with me and I bonked at mile 5...I fear if I would've had my phone on me I would have called Matt and quit halfway. I'll be better next year!

After the race we went to Giuseppi's for lunch and ate outside with Macie- so nice!!

We came home, rested (and showered), then took our pup to the beach for the first time this year. She loved it!! It was perfect weather and we stayed a good hour throwing the ball with her.

We came home, bathed again, then I made dinner. Great weekend!! We're leaving Friday for Brunswick to hang out with Margaret, Chris and the kids for the weekend...and a 15k for me Saturday morning- hope it's a better race experience :)

A simple Sunday...

Today has been so wonderful! Beautiful weather and a laid back kinda day- loving it.

First week at the peds office wrapped up nicely. Matt and I celebrated with dinner at Longhorns, where I fell in love with salmon...and the butternut squash risotto. We rented a movie, Matt passed out halfway through after taking some allergy meds, and we hit the hay early.

...which means Saturday morning he was up bright and early at 7...boo. He headed out to the office for a few hours while I tackled an 8 mile run, which was stinking wonderful. I actually did this solo run faster than the 10k race from last Sunday which is kinda crazy for me, but exciting!

Shower, lunch, and grocery shopping was my afternoon. We headed to the parents house around 5 to grill out for Mrs Susan's birthday, since pawpaws funeral took place on her actual birthday. Lots of fun with the kiddos, good food, and yummy cake!

This morning was our typical Sunday morning (the only day I can get Matt to sleep past 8!)- pancakes, church, lunch at home-except today, no grocery shopping!! Feels good to have that out of the way for sure; might be a new thing for us. Matt's been fixing a few things around the apartment and I just finished up what was supposed to be a slow recovery run...ran a touch faster than I wanted, but it makes me happy to be getting faster!! Totally in love with this foot massager...after a day at work or after a run it works wonders and hurts so good.

Hope your Sunday is as good as ours!
And one more picture...
