2 weeks off..

...from running, and apparently blogging too ;)

Our weekends have been flying by like crazy and they're jam packed with all kinds of outdoor fun. A lot of golf and sunshine! We've now played golf 3 weekends in a row since Matt decided to go on my dad and his friends annual golf trip. I'm not complaining.

Friday night we went to a pizza palooza in downtown Bluffton benefiting the humane society, so there were a ton of dogs around! The live music was really good too, and Macie behaved so well. Saturday morning Matt and Craig decided to play golf, which left me a few hours to relax by the pool...until the pool got too crazy so I left to get a pedicure...andddd I surprised myself with a manicure too!

We had dinner plans with Daniel, Cassady, Bobby, Sara, Shane, and Alissa Saturday night, and we had so much fun catching up, as usual. Daniel and Cassady brought their sweet baby girl and she slept through everything. And Bobby and Sara announced baby #2!

Sunday morning Matt wanted to skip church, so we bummed it around the house for awhile before I headed out to beat the tourists to the grocery store- failed at it. Later in the afternoon we decided to explore a trail we had seen a few miles down the road. It was so peaceful until we discovered that this place was tick infested, like really bad. We walked about 3 miles and pulled off at least 20 ticks off us  during and after the walk. Poor Macie had a minimum of 50 pulled off her, and half her fur in the process. We won't be doing that again!!

Matt talked me into looking at beach cruisers so after showers and laundry we headed out to find the perfect pair! We found his and hers bikes at target and were sold at the "vintage" look- aka we look like old farts cruising around. We rode them to dinner and around the parking lots so I could try and remember how to ride the darn things...and I've always been awful! We tried to take them to get ice cream tonight, but I've already got a flat tire! Big bummer.

This morning, after two weeks off, I finished a two mile run. My calf still doesn't feel great when I run, but I haven't had any extra pain today so I'm going to go with it. I'm going to try for two again in the morning and see how it goes...wish me luck! I'm icing as I'm typing ;)
